A. For the "Refiner Pro" Add-on:

The Add-on, by its nature, needs to access your spreadsheet data to function. All processing of your sheet data happens within your browser and Google's own Apps Script environment.

Spreadsheet Content: The Add-on reads the text and formatting of the cells you select or the sheets you choose to process. This data is used only to perform the find, replace, and formatting operations you initiate. We do not store, save, or transmit your sheet content to our servers.
AI Feature Data: When you use the "Generate with AI" feature, the text prompt you write (e.g., "find all phone numbers") is sent to Google's Generative AI services (Gemini API) to generate a regular expression. The content of your sheets is not sent with this request. For more information, please review Google's Generative AI API Privacy Policy.
User Configuration: If you provide your own API key for the AI feature, it is saved using Google Apps Script's PropertiesService, which stores the data within your Google Account's scope. We do not have access to this key.
Anonymous Usage Analytics (Optional - Add if you implement this): We may collect anonymous usage data, such as which features are used most frequently, to help us improve the Add-on. This data is aggregated and not tied to any personal information.

B. For our Website (zapscripts.com):

Contact Information: If you contact us via an email link or contact form on our Site, we will collect your email address and any other information you provide to respond to your inquiry.
Cookies and Analytics: Like most websites, we may use cookies and analytics services (like Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use our Site. This helps us improve the user experience. This data is typically anonymous and includes information like your browser type, pages visited, and time spent on the site.

Refiner Pro's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Why do we process your data?

Our top priority is customer data security, and, as such, we may process only minimal user data, only as much as it is absolutely necessary to maintain the website. Information collected automatically is used only to identify potential cases of abuse and establish statistical information regarding website usage. This statistical information is not otherwise aggregated in such a way that it would identify any particular user of the system.

You can visit the website without telling us who you are or revealing any information, by which someone could identify you as a specific, identifiable individual. If, however, you wish to use some of the website’s features, or you wish to receive our newsletter or provide other details by filling a form, you may provide personal data to us, such as your email, first name, last name, city of residence, organization, telephone number. You can choose not to provide us with your personal data, but then you may not be able to take advantage of some of the website’s features. No Server-Side Storage of Sheet Data: To reiterate, zapscripts.com does not have a database and does not store any of your spreadsheet content. All operations are performed on Google's infrastructure.
Third-Party Disclosure: We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information or sheet content to outside parties, with the sole exception of the AI prompt data sent to the Google Generative AI API as described in Section 1.
Security: We take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we handle. The Add-on operates within the security environment provided by Google Workspace.
